How To List Your Real Estate Free Ads on Craigslist, Facebook and Twitter with One Click

Written on by Peter- REBB Founder

Real Estate Free Ads, sounds nice, doesn’t it.  Listing your real estate ads for free, hopefully to a targeted audience.  That sounds even better, right?  Well read on, because I’ll tell you how you can get that done with just one click.

As you may or may not know, I always strive to develop strategies that will multiply your efforts, automate your process, speed up your efficiency, and systematize your business.  Well today, I have a site for you that in my opinion, will automate your process, speed up your efficiency, and multiply your efforts when listing houses on classified ad sites.  The best part about that site is that the registration is, you guessed it, FREE!

During his Virtual Vesting Launch this past week, Tim Mai revealed a strategy that he uses to list his real estate free ads using a well known classified ad site called Craigslist.  Many people may not know about this but Craigslist is a great lead generation site, that is if you know what you are doing, of course.  If you haven’t seen Tim Mai’s video about his Craigslist strategy, you may want to check it out at

But before you head over there, read over this post and utilize the site I’m about to show you for your listing process.  This is a brand new site, well almost brand new as it was released in May 2008.  But still, not a lot of real estate investors know about it.  In fact, I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet.  And I frequent real estate forums, site, and blogs a lot to keep up and help out any real estate professionals around the internet.

Let me ask you a question:

How would you like to list your free real estate ad or a lead generation marketing piece on popular social media sites including Craigslist, Facebook, Twitter and FriendFeed all with one click?

Well, almost one click. 🙂

Yup, will integrate your listing with the popular social media sites I just listed above.  Sometimes, when you post your listing, your Facebook friends will see your listing and it will be easy for your friends to help you promote your listing to their friends.  Your listing can go viral and spread around the internet without you lifting a finger.

But why would you want to list your property or a lead generation piece on social media sites like Facebook or Twitter?

Well, social media sites such as Facebook allow you to become friends with people of the same interest.  Therefore, you can become friends with OTHER INVESTORS, real estate agents, bankers, private money investors, and contractors.  So, when you list your property with iList, you are sending your listing to TARGETED list of users/buyers/prospects.

Hmmm, this sounds like a crazy idea but it might just work! 🙂

Sidenote:  Friend me on Facebook here.  (If you do friend me on Facebook, please mention that you read my blog here so I’ll know you came from here).  I may just have about 1000 or so people who may be interested in real estate. 🙂 You may want to read my Real Estate Social Media- When Time Is Of The Essence or TOP 7 Real Estate Social Media Sitesto get a better idea of social media marketing for real estate professionals.

Are the bells starting to go off inside your head?  Are those creative juices flowing yet? 🙂  I hope so.

Well, that’s it for today.  Oh, one more thing for this strategy…

Check out the iList Tools here and let me know in the comments below how you would use their tools for your business.  Share your comments below, tell me if you like this tool, tell me if you have any ideas on how you can use their widget and most of all, do you want me to share more of those little gems with you?

More comments I see here, the better.  So type away!

To Your Success,

Peter K.

    Hi John,

There are lots of people who use Craigslist effectively. However, there are certain things you need to do and NOT do when marketing using craigslist. Fir instance, posting too many times in a short period of time might get your listing “ghosted.” When your listing gets ghosted, people can’t see it.

Also, when advertising on craigslist, you need to be consistent, your headline (ad title) needs to be catchy so people will open it, and you need to provide some type of call to action with a reward. People have so many things going on in their lives today that unless you give them some type of a reward for taking action, they won’t do it.

    Good luck,

Hi Peter, thanks for the info, great as always. I have recently stumbled across a site I thought you might be interested in. It will basically look up every real estate agent across the state. I know most investors aren’t too keen on realtors, I’m not either. However, when trying to network, it never hurts to have a database of people who are in the market everyday!

    Thanks again!

Thanks Omega. I’ll check it out. I believe that Realtors are important to our success and we should network with them whenever possible. They get lots of deals across their table and sometimes, that one deal, can be just the right thing for the investor.

    To Your Success,

Craigslist was flooded with spam before especially in Real Estate section. Is it true that Craigslist put up a fee on that specific area?
