“7 Ways To Create Real Estate Content- How to Write Article For Your Real Estate Website In 15 Minutes”- Part 1

Written on September 3, 2008 by Peter- REBB Founder

real estate contentEvery now and then, I get a question asking me how someone, who isn’t very experienced in real estate, could write real estate content on their website.  Most of the time, real estate investors are looking for real estate content that will help them convert potential buyers, motivated sellers, and private investors into clients.  They want to know how to write an article without breaking their back or their bank account.  Now, before I go into how and what, I need to make a disclaimer here.

Disclaimer

I am in no way suggesting that you should lie, plagiarize and/or tell people something that you wrote something when in fact, it was someone else’s work.  The strategies I am going to share with you here do not promote that kind of behavior.  If you are planning on doing that, stop reading right now and look elsewhere.  However, If you want to do it right, these strategies will help your business in the long run.  Believe me, they work.  You just need to take massive action.

Now, since that’s out of the way, let’s get right into it.

Real Estate Content Creation Secret #1

This is an easy one strategy but it does come with a downside.  Go to article websites such as EzineArticles.com.  Then follow the directions in their publisher section.  Basically, you can take the real estate articles that are in there, and publish them on your own site and/or blog.  You just need to make sure that you include all of the information in there without changing anything including the articles, bio, author’s resource box, etc. Make sure you abide to their policies listed under EzineArticles.com TOS

Here’s the downside to that strategy:

When you publish their articles to your blog, you end up with what’s called: Duplicate Content.  Since the article you republished has already been written on the web, Google and other search engines will see your website’s article as a duplicate content.  Google penalizes sites with duplicate content when it comes to Search engine rankings.  So, if you are not worrying about this issue, thousands of blogs are doing this strategy every day, you can start using this in the next 5 minutes.  But, if duplicate content concerns you, let’s keep going here then, shall we?

Real Estate Content Creation Secret #2

Go to Google and search for Real Estate PLR articles.  (PLR stands for Private Label Rights).  Basically, you can purchase already written articles and use them in any way you want.  (Make sure you read author’s requirements when buying PLR articles).  In most instances, you can put your own name on those articles and do whatever you want with them.

Is there a downside to this strategy as well?  Well, yes there is.  Here’s the deal.  PLR articles are being sold every day.  So, there is a chance that those articles are already somewhere on the internet.  So, duplicate content is nagging on your SEO strategy again.

But have no fear, the solution to this strategy is here.

Real Estate Content Creation Secret #3

Go to outsourcing sites such as Guru.com or Elance.com, (just 2 out of many) and post your project on there.  Tell the writers on those sites that you need existing articles rewritten to avoid duplicate content.  Believe me, most of these writers on there know how to write an article to avoid duplicate content penalty.

You should get at least a dozen of writers bidding on your project to rewrite your articles.  Most of the time, you can buy PLR articles in bulk, so tell the writers that you have 20,30, or 50 articles.  At first, you will select 2 or 3 writers to test out their writing process.  Then, you might select one of them to rewrite all of the other articles.  One important hint.  Ask for samples, check out their portfolios and feedback to avoid bad writers.

So there you go.  First 3 strategies to write real estate content, without actually writing it yourself.  Stay tuned because in my next post, I will reveal the last 4 strategies for writing content for your site, fast.  By the way, with the next 4 strategies, you won’t have to worry about duplicate content.  Isn’t that nice? :)

    Peter,

Great information as always! What can you expect to pay for writer’s on Elance? How specific can they get on particular topics of real estate? In other words can you say write me an article about 5 creative ways to find funding to purchase a house or 7 fast ways to get your house sold?

Thanks as always for your help,

    Brian Rhodes

    Hi Brian,

Elance will be a little cheaper than guru.com. It all depends on what you want them to write for you. For an article, you should be able to get someone to do an article for about $8-$10.

As for their talent and how specific they can get, there are a lot of talented writers on there. Just go through their portfolios and ask for samples. Tell them what you do and what you are expecting. There are writers on there that have experience in real estate. I know that it can be a little tricky finding a writer but once you do, it can mean a huge difference for your online strategy.

    Peter
