Here’s yet another reason why you need to embrace the internet for your real estate marketing. Recently, Washington Post wrote an article on their website how one woman, who was looking for a real estate agent to sell her house, used the internet to find her new agent. Are you surprised? I hope not. Why? Because this happens every day. People don’t use the traditional means of selling or buying their houses as much anymore. Internet is here and it is here to stay.
Want to know how she did it? Then read the post on Making Connections on Washington Post.
I have been saying that for quite a while now. In my Top 7 Real Estate Social Media Sites post, I talked about how real estate investors and agents can use social media, who I think will explode into something even bigger, to gain more leads and build their professional credibility.
To expand even more on the subject, I went ahead and gave you some action items in my 10 Ways Real Estate Investors Can Use Social Media post. The ideas in there are very powerful, even Washington Post doesn’t mention it in their article.
But what happens when people start arriving at your site? What do you do then? You need to catch their attention and their contact information, right? One of the most powerful ways to catch your visitors information is to Squeeze Your Real Estate Visitors. Huh? Squeeze your visitors? My “To Squeeze or Not To Squeeze? That is the question” post will answer that for you.
So, as you can see from Washington Post and this blog, real estate marketing is not about direct mail, postcards, bandit signs, and business cards anymore. (Don’t give me wrong, direct mail and postcards are still very powerful.) But it’s much more than that. Real estate marketing has gone virtual. Your marketing strategy needs to incorporate all of those techniques to get you to the top of your local market. And that’s why I am here for you. That’s why I write on this blog, hoping that you embrace this strategy and use it in your business.
So, tell me in the comments below, what have you found to be the biggest roadblock for you when it comes to marketing your business on the internet? Is it traffic? Is it acquiring leads? Is it not knowing where to start? Don’t know how to setup a website? Share you comments below and I’ll do my best to answer them for you on my future posts.
To Your Success,
Peter K.
P.S.
Most of those frustrations I listed above can be outsourced. That’s right! You can have someone else do it for you and for a very good price. Watch this blog because my next post will be about how and where you can outsource your business tasks.

Does Al Gore know that you’re using his internet to do this??!! What about the carbon footprint?
@Tim Cronin -
I’m not so sure he does. But then again, does McCain know that I am telling people how to use phones for real estate marketing?

I think he might be concerned since he helped invent the BlackBerry.
