Well, for those of you asking about that technology, today is your lucky day. Why? Because Trulia.com has just went realtor mobile with their new application that will allow you to view houses on your iPhone.
You can access Trulia’s Real Estate Mobile Application here.
The new mobile application, which can be used on your iPhone, BlackBerry, Blackjack, Sony Ericsson and Nokia, will allow you to search homes for sale near your location, and scroll through full color photos. The app is also integrated with Google Maps so you can get instant directions to the listed properties.
So, how can this benefit you?
For one, if you have your property listed on Trulia, (as of right now you need to be a real estate agent/broker to list the property) your house might end up on someone else’s phone. It doesn’t matter if it is a realtor, retail buyer or another investor. You end up getting more exposure for your property.
Just imagine for one minute. Frank, technologically savvy house buyer who has just installed the app on his phone, is flipping through the listings for his next property. Or a Realtor who was just asked by his client if there are any houses in the area. What do you think he/she will do?
Now, what happens when you list your property in the local newspaper, on craigslist, with a bandit sign or on your website? There is a slight chance that your house will get noticed while driving around the neighborhood, right?
Instead of going back to their home or the office to look up properties on the computer or in the paper, the savvy buyer or Realtor will open up his/her phone, type in the search criteria in the application and BAMM!!
Your house is right there, just a block away from where they are right now. Now, what do you think they’ll do? They’ll go over and check the place out. They might even call you since your contact information is right there on their phone. All they have to do is hit the dial key. And you didn’t even have to talk to anyone, post bandit signs or drive neighborhoods to get your house visible. How cool is that?
So, go check it out and let me know of your results. Tell me, what do you think about this new technology? Do you think it will benefit investors? This is a brand new application but I see a lot of potential in there. Share your comments below.
