How Google is Changing the SEO Game & How You Can benefit Your Real Estate Business With It

Written on by Peter- REBB Founder

real estate googleIn today’s post, I wanted to talk to you about Google’s recent changes because it affects you in more ways that you can imagine.  If you are utilizing Google for your marketing purposes, trying to get on the first page of Google, allowing people to find you in your local market on Google and so forth, then you need to read this post and watch this short video.

In the past month or so, Facebook has shaken up the internet world with their releases of Web-Wide share feature.  It has been said that Google views Facebook as their only real competitor who actually at the beginning of March of 2010 has received more traffic to their website that Google itself.  Now, that’s an accomplishment.

In response, Google is releasing their tricks including their new and improved search page.  Actually, they have released this feature long time ago but until last week, it was released on a limited space.  This past week, Google released the feature across their entire network.

So, how does this affect you and why should you, as an investor, a businessman/businesswoman care about this?

Watch this short video and I’ll tell you why.  It’s some powerful stuff!

So, what did you think?  Do you have any questions or comments about this new change?  Let me know in the comments below and I’ll answer them for you.

To Your Success,

Peter Kolat

Great post, Peter. Obviously having a successful online presence is an essential part of any Realtor’s marketing plan, specifically as it relates to organic SERPs. Hence, timely post that can definitely help agents stay ahead of the curve.

    @Maui Realtor

Thanks Maui Realtor. You know, you have posted some great comments here on my blog and I really appreciate it. However, I still don’t know your name. What’s your name? 🙂

Hey Peter, thanks again for staying ahead of the curve and sharing this with all of us. I agree with you, videos and (google) maps are paramount for any RE professional who wants to dominate their local market.

  4. Joyce |

My first reaction is to feel tired at more things I have to do to get traffic. There is not enough time in a day for one person to do all the things needed. the second is gratitude. I would be quite upset to find out a month from now that what I’d been doing had been a waste of time! 🙂 LOL I’m Really looking forward to the day, which will be soon, when I can outsource everything regarding SEO and traffic to great people who do it for a living and focus 100% on being the rainmaker in my business. 🙂

Thank you Peter, I really appreciate your clear grasp of this arena and ability to convey the information in a way that makes it easy to get it and take action.

I totally understand where you are coming from Joyce. Yes, you cannot do everything yourself. You need to start outsourcing as soon as possible. Believe me, that one change in your business will improve your business efficiency, productivity and make you more money.

I know that sometimes it’s easier said that done. Sometimes, we just don’t have the resources to outsource but you can find someone to do work for you for as little as $3 per hour. Start them off part time and you’ll see how much your life will improve.

I have some VAs where I just say to them: “Here’s the video I created for you. Watch it and do exactly what it says.” In fact, all of the videos in my courses can be given to VAs to do the work.

If you have any other questions Joyce, just ask.

    To Your Success,

I keep forgetting to click on the ‘notify me of follow up comments’ tab. Grrr. Anyway, Peter, to answer your question I write for biggerpockets and bloodhound, as well as possibly writing for realtor in the near future (although obviously that’s a more general-type of writing for mass audiences).

  23. Peter- REBB Founder |

    Hi there,

Yes, there is quite a bit that comes through on my blog. However, I have a plugin installed called Akismet. If you Google “akismet plugin” you’ll find it right at the top. That one plugin eliminates about 98% of spam on my blog Good luck.

I don’t have a big experience in this SEO field but looks like this is great way to rank high with less effort.
