How To Take Pictures of a Property & Turn them Into a Killer Real Estate Video

Written on April 15, 2009 by Peter- REBB Founder

One of the most frequent ways real estate investors and agents market their properties is by taking pictures of the house and marketing them through flyers and website listings.  They just take the camera and take pictures of all of the different aspects of the property including the exterior and interior portions of the house.

However, if you have been listening to me for at least few weeks, you know that I am a big advocate of using video for your marketing purposes.  Why?  Because video is a very powerful marketing vehicle.  It engages the viewer by stimulating several senses.  I mean think about it, when you watch a video, you can hear it, see it, and sometimes, depending on the video and it’s message, feel it.

Video can really engage the viewer.  Not only that but internet is moving extremely fast to what I call, the vid-net.  More and more companies, people and websites utilize video for their marketing purposes.  Video sharing sites are everywhere and sites such as youtube.com are one of the most visited sites on the internet.

But what can you do if you don’t have a video of your property?  What can you do if all you have is pictures and you cannot go back and record a video of the property?  I bet you have been in that position before right?

Well, have no fear because Polish Peter is here :)

Right now, I want to give you access to a resource site that will take your pictures and create a high quality, professional video along with background music and fantastic transitions.  Don’t believe me, then check this site out.

Animoto.com

Once you sign up to this site and create an account, the company has an easy step by step way of uploading your pictures and creating the video for you.  it analyzes your pictures, feels your music, and customizes the video for you.

It’s pretty cool and worth checking it out.  Now, I don’t make any money from this site so I’m just telling you about it because I believe that you can use it in your real estate marketing.  Think about it, if you have pictures of a property and they’re just sitting there on the site, do you think that your possibility of selling your “picture” property would increase if you added or substituted it with a video.

That’s it for now.  Let me know what you think and let me know if you want me to give you any other resources because I have tons of them.  Remember, I am The Real Estate Black Book guy.

To your success,

Peter Kolat

    Hey Peter,

    You are absolutely correct!

The ability to visually communicate your offering – without being physically present- and motivate potential customers to connect with your product or service online can only be achieved with video.
Video is far more valuable than other adverting mediums because it so targeted…it speaks directly to your potential customers, it brings them close enough to your product or service, to understand it, believe in it and take possession in it!

As the so called “real estate black book guy” I wanted to introduce you to our video marketing platform at propertysyndication. The service is expected to be launched early May `09 with a really simple but extremely effective online ad creative application to help real estate professionals and owners reach more customers easily & affordably!

    Thats it for now.
