    Thanks for sharing the video. There is certainly some change brought on recently in Internet Marketing, I’m not sure what the results will be.

    Peter,
    This is good to know. I need to do something with my websites; I do get visitors but they do not leave there info., so I’m might missing something they would like to see or get.

    Thank you,

    Leo

    Thanks for the heads up on the new Google feature. I was not aware of it. I agree, you better have a temping landing page that allows you to at least grab a prospects email address or interest.

    Hi Peter,

    I’ve been on your email list for quite some time and enjoy your articles a great deal. I was wondering if you can help me build a buyers list for Charlotte and Raleigh, NC. I am willing to pay a fee as I consider you the most knowledgeable on this subject. If you are unable, could you recommend someone? Thanks for your time and consideration. Steve Tupper.

    @leo

    Yeah Leo,

    What I can tell you is this: put yourself in their shoes. What would you if you were in their situation when they arrive on your site? Would they do what you want them to do? Would a 10 year old kid be able to do what you want them to do?

    Do you have a clear call to action? Do you have a powerful headline to catch their attention? is it clear?

    These are the types of questions you need to ask yourself when you do your site. If you go to Google and do a search with that feature on, you’ll see that majority of the sites out there suck and are not inviting.

    Remember, when people arrive on your site, they have one question in their mind:

    What’s in it for me?

    Thanks for commenting Akil.

    Yeah, this is fairly new but once people get used to it and start using it on regular basis, I think it will have a big impact on what pages people will actually go to after seeing the preview.

    Peter,

    Thanks for the video and the discussion. I certainly appreciate the heads up.
    Man things move so quick and change so fast on the internet!

    Great points to take home about having the page look inviting and helpful and user friendly so the searcher dose not pass your site over without even giving a visit.

    I have some work to do I believe.

    Also great point that if as a result, the searchers keep passing your site over via preview, Google will move your site down in the ranking as to apparent relevance.

    Thanks for the info.
    Jeff

    @Jefferson Sawyer

    Thanks for the comment Jeff. Yeah, you got it. Google is moving in different directions to make life easier on their searchers and this is one of them.

    Another big move they are making is that they are starting to focus BIG on Local results and mobile marketing.

    As far as real estate goes, I strongly believe that investors and agents need to focus on that as well in 2011. It’s going to be huge.

    To Your Success,

    Peter Kolat

    P.S.
    I’ll be posting some great blog posts about the above 2 areas soon so watch out for them. :) Happy New year!
